Do you mean import? You can use a structure block in game, or mods like Worldedit, or such.

If you choose a structure block, there's a link in the post for you to check out!

Thank you for supporting my creation!

Trying to recurring the issue in 1.16.3 with 15 spruce trees planted but nothing happened.

The issue that was mentioned is very possibly caused by these:
1. I haven't checked litematica but that might happen while dealing with .nbt file if it shares some coding with a structure block. Try to import it twice (9s-10s later) after 1st time (piston sounds ceased). Also you may wanna check the 'How to import' section for confirming some issue descriptions.
2. If you've planted a 'not totally normal' tree, it may destroy the mechanism - possible trees are oak and acacia. Actually the most tree I farmed with this in my survival was oak~ just remove branches if you planted an oak yet it goes a big one, that's kinda only 10% chance as mentioned in the 'Caveats' section.
3. If you hear the alarm beeping, that means the storage is full and all wood blocks need to be removed or the conveyor system will overflow.

And if still the problem occurs with the conveyor belt mentioned on the top of the farm, and you are sure everything you've done was ok, you may adjust the conveyor timing by entering the 'maintenance' area and tweak the hopper clock (17 redstone dusts in MC 1.16.3 now). I wouldn't recommend that since it seems everything works fine here, but that could be the silver bullet to solve this, even in the future version of MC.
Tree Farm - Modular Base Collection on October 28th, 2020 10:48 PM EST
Holding down 'shift' key then drag the cursor from where the 2nd slot starts to the end one, then place 1 item in the 1st slot.

Hmm, seems a bit long ago, but sorry for misunderstanding your comment.
Warehouse - Modular Base Collection on October 27th, 2020 12:16 AM EST
The correct hopper configuration would be:
Top hopper: [item - 6 - 5 - 5 - 5] - the numbers represent 'filter-placeholder', a special tripwire hook that made of the function.
Bottom hopper: [item - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0] - 1 extra item in the bottom hopper.

The hoppers at the entrance (the 'tripwire hook' one) are special and they contain no item.

Any other hopper should be empty. If it fails to work after you load it, load it again after 9-10 secs, I think it'll be fine.
Warehouse - Modular Base Collection on October 26th, 2020 11:48 PM EST
It works! Tested in 1.16.3 for now.

BTW, don't forget to turn it on after you load it. It was set to off ('halt' indicators on = it's off) by default.

Feedback received!

As I have just downloaded the file, tested in MC ver 1.16.3 in a fresh new world, it worked fine.

Here is a list of solutions to possible issues you might have encountered:
1. The structure block only works in creative mode with cheats on, you might switch mode by starting a LAN game with those settings and press F3+F4 to change. A very detailed tutorial video is given under the MBC index post: https://www.minecraft-schematics.com/schematic/13819/ (also how to import in vanilla game and so on).
2. If you use Worldedit, make sure to use the latest version of forge and the mod that supports 1.16.3. Any other 3rd party software supports .nbt file format should be 100% capable of import it.

And should I have mentioned, since there is a bug in structure blocks, you may need to load it twice after some (9-10) seconds. You might get more important information in my post, and please provide more detail if you still have any trouble so I can help you better! :D

Thank you for supporting my creation!

The reasons I do not make this series .schematic files are:
1. Sometimes I post and update them in the latest version. Since a .schematic file only works with 3rd party tools now, they may not come out so fast.
2. My builds are mostly pretty small indeed. A schematic file works well on huge builds, while .nbt is smaller and more simple, and it is officially supported.
3. Mods commonly used like WorldEdit can read .nbt files too, just like .schematics file.

I see lots of people simply rate my stuff 0 because of that without even try them, but I will not change my thoughts. I did some builds in .schematics years ago when official does not support .nbt format, and .schematic was what we can only do with, to share a schematic (not .schematic, like anything we can paste). This site is defined as "the best place to find Minecraft creations (schematics, worlds, maps) to download", which I think is not limited in 1 kind of file format.

Anyway, it is simply 1 command for WorldEdit and a structure block. If you paste a .schematic build, same way you need to type commands, especially to include entities. Most tools support .nbt import, trust me :D, and many file formats are actually derived from that. I give detailed info in all my posts, if you prefer the vanilla way.

Thank you for supporting my creations!

On this site, there is no other way that we can post an index page without putting anything in download, so I chose this base and made it so, that won't change the intension of this post as the topic shows, and that's what makes the concept of this set of creations, IMO. The words in blue are the links to other pages of the MBC you can click on, that's what this post actually is, a 'portal' page.

And for the way I put my stuff, I personally prefer simplicity, vanilla style, and always let people choose! Not all of my bases being liked by anyone, OFC, so they can pick what they want. I put individual bases in default skins, so people who focus on survival experience will find it very easy to start. I see for some experienced players like you may prefer a complete collection given as whole but it is not a very practical way for me, since there are 13 bases and 12 skins for a combination of 12 X 13 = 156 bases if a complete collection is given, and that will hinder me from updating my stuff without any mods or scripts.

The screenshots given are just as a hint or a basic instruction, not the actual builds so it won't limit your imagination; That is also a point I thinks what's fun to do since it keeps the spirit of the game, 'crafting', and every bases made this way is unique, that's why I'm not just simply sharing my world. You can make thousands of combinations with the skins and cores (don't have to made it like that I did, for e.g., a mixed styled base), that is the real idea of the MBC - more than just a base, but a concept.

Thank you for supporting my creations!

As you can see, I have written a very long description. I personally hate writing, and people may hate reading, but I have to write everything down because they are extremely important, like you can not fly a helicopter with a button, at least in present days.

Before importing my stuff, please make sure that you are playing with:

1. Latest version of MC (1.14+)
2. Correct import method - A structure block (Recommended), or anything capable of importing .nbt file.

Nothing else is mandatory. If you try MCEdit, it won't work with my stuff simply cause it only support file from 1.12-, which is why I post all my stuff in .nbt, not .schematics which is more classic.

If you have any problem, please read everything I have written 1st and you will get my help! :D

And, for anyone who reads this, please not get confused as this creation is not a mob farm. :P

Patience is the key! :))

Well, I know that is kinda unexpected sometimes. I did record like 5 times and pick the shortest one to save everyone's time in watching.

And if you do mind the waiting, there is a better way for that mechanism I have mentioned above in the 'Technical' section. If you get that idea and tweak it, then you will never have to wait, and it will work 24hs in game! I'm not gonna spoil it for anyone else reading this~ I have given a hint to you in the link to Mojang's dev log so you may wanna improve that since you have already found it out using a button. :p

The reason I did not make it so is because structure blocks can't save leads; that is kinda a glitch in vanilla MC.

Sorry for any inconvenience!

At the time I post this half a year ago, there was nothing that reads a .schematic file in that latest version of MC, which my stuff only works in.

Maybe try a structure block! It is the official way of import/export templates, actually pretty easy to use with a not-so-friendly user interface though, by comparing with MCEdit which I did post everything years ago with when .schematics file works under any latest version of MC at that time.

BTW there is an official wiki link in the post to learn structure blocks, you may check it out ~

It works, isn't it :D. Unlike you, many people don't understand, MCEdit can actually read it.
I'm not really sure but I guess .nbt is 95% = .schematics in most part with a bit less features.
The reason MCEdit not working with it is not because of that .nbt format, but because MCEdit itself only supports .nbt from 1.12-.
It was so good and once my favorite; I really hope it can be updated, then I will still post my stuff in .schematics format, just like the old times.

Thank you for supporting my creations!

Actually, .nbt file is an official format of block data that can be imported and exported by a structure block now, and MCEdit (with many tools alike) can read nbt file. The reason everything breaks is the data structure was changed in 1.13 (Known as 'The update that destroys the world').

All my stuff is built in 1.14+ so it won't work with MCEdit for now. If you try something like WorldEdit with forge in 1.14, it might work if .nbt file is importable.

I understand it is a site for .schematics, yet I think it is not only for .schematics files, but all minecraft schematics that can be shared with people. That's why I used to put my stuff in .schematics file many years ago when MC official version do not support .nbt import, but now, I'm starting to put my stuff in .nbt file at the time I made this post.

Oh it is 1.12.2 and 1.13.0, I typed the wrong version number.
Swordmaiden - Guardian of the Queen on January 7th, 2020 12:54 AM EST
Thank you for supporting my creation!

By default means of method, it is not possible to downgrade any save / nbt files from 1.3.0+ to 1.2.2- because MC official rewrote the NBT data structure. I think that is the reason why MCEdit is perma-broken too.

It is possible to be batch-edited in JSON format with a mod called NBT Explorer (https://github.com/jaquadro/NBTExplorer) to manually convert new block data to old ones, but it requires some work.

There might be mods somewhere which is technically very possible to revert nbt format, but I haven't found one myself. The last peroid I played MC was about 5 years ago and I updated things recently without such a warning before I realized people called that 'the update that destroys the world'.

Sorry for what I can't help. If you play from 1.3.0+, everything will be fine.

Elykdez's 3x3 Spiral Piston Door on December 8th, 2019 09:42 PM EST
You may try this:
1. Build it all the way to the top normally with alternative slabs.
2. Count the redstone signal strength from the most bottom observer.
3. Whenever 15 redstone dusts are counted, replace the nearest slab down with an observer (every 6 slabs? I think).
4. Repeat 3 till you have reached the top.
5. Add redstone dusts in hopper clock to extend the bubble time. (6-8 at a time, preferably)
6. Test the new elevator, if you fall before the highest point, add more dusts in the hopper clock.
7. If you fall on the same position twice, but with enough dusts, mark and check the signal of that position, you may move the observer 1-2 block/blocks downward, then check it again.
8. Repeat 6 till it is done.
Elykdez's Hydraulic Elevator on December 1st, 2019 02:19 PM EST
XD ~ Thank you for supporting my creations!

The concept is like this: All the MBC bases have 15 x 12 x 15 inner size (except the wood farm, it is 15 tall), the skin is 2 blocks thick and all of them have exactly SAME size in both OUTSIDE (19 x 15 x 19) and INSIDE.

If you use any means of method (structure blocks, WorldEdit) that can extract their interior (with the ground floor), then you can put the extractions into those new skins, they will 100% fit. For e.g., If you have an Iphone, and you have a case, you can change any cases for your Iphone, because it will not change in size.

You may wanna check - https://www.minecraft-schematics.com/schematic/13897/, I just extracted all of them and put them in a new save, what you wanna do is to put them into those skins like that ~

Actually it is pretty fun! Like you can DIY a schematic yourself by combining 2 schematics, I did it myself, too. The default skin is kinda for convenience so people can really start to build their bases quickly.

The reason why I'm not making it awhole is because there will be way too much work for me... I made 12 bases in EP1 and 12 skins, then we have a combination of 12 ^ 2 = 144 bases... If I update them or add new stuff, I will be doomed XD ~.

It may take 1-2h in the beginning to complete a set of bases, but if you become familiar with the process, you can complete it in 1h, I'm sure.

If you load my creation with a structure block, make sure the positions of observer blocks look EXACTLY like the one in my screenshot after you load it or it will NOT work. It is a BUG in MC 1.14 and it is really annoying... If you are messed up and go rage at the thing, I'm sure I've already become mad cause of that before you do. So please just calm down, read, and fix it.
Elykdez's 3x3 Spiral Piston Door on November 19th, 2019 01:36 AM EST
Load it twice. 1st time not Include entities, include it on the second time after some seconds. I explained it to you under the MBC index thread.
Barn - Modular Base Collection on November 18th, 2019 03:51 AM EST
Thank you so much!

The problems you have encountered hit what I was exactly worrying about. To fix those issues, you may:
1. When you load the barn for the 1st time, DO NOT include entities, then load it again after 5-10 secs and DO include entities (I'll explain it later).
2. Re-download the tree farm (the previous one has a strange save file glitch that only works with WorldEdit, IMO, or if you fix it manually), load it then wait for all piston sounds stop, then load it again, and it is fixed.
3. Great job! The monster farm is kinda toy of redstone mechanism demo if you keep my vanilla build; not the concept, just the size.

Explanations: (To anyone reading this as well)
The source of all evil comes from an obnoxious glitch in MC 1.14 - Observers will activate right after loaded by a structure block, which may ruin some mechanisms at the 1st time, even perpetually. Let's just say the correct way (like with WorldEdit): If you have a redstone lamp lit, after you import, it shall still be lit, like it is made to. Observers do not follow this rule now - when they are loaded, they 'observe' they are in a different place and output a signal, which they shall not, so they may active without expectation, only if their surroundings are the same as they were in before.
The cow farm in the barn contains lava blade dispensers... they kill the cows, so after your import, there is no cow since they all dead. The falling sand part of the tree farm is triggered by an observer signal... So it is the same issue, they just fall without a rise and break the column. Even the monster farm, as you may noticed, glitches as well but it will automatically fix itself when the clock is on. Better load it twice, too.
Modular Base Collection - Episode 1 on November 18th, 2019 03:41 AM EST
If you find anything not working, please tell me here in comment ~ I did test on every MBC base and I'm sure this one works correctly after loaded by structure block if:
1. You have chosen the correct mode in structure block.
2. You have not override my save file by mistake.
3. You did 'Include Entities' on 1st time load.
4. You did load it at least twice if anything is broken.
I may tell you how personally if you haven't learnt it yet.
Meanwhile in 1.14, some blocks will glitch after loaded by structure block. I have no idea but to wait for the official fix and that is the reason why you shall load it more than once.
Thank you for your understanding.
Schematic #13835 on November 11th, 2019 05:13 AM EST
If anyone feels confused about how to use the structure block, a detailed instruction with screenshot is listed in any individual MBC creation.

Generals:
1. Place the nbt file under {MC directory}/saves/{your world}/generated/minecraft/structures/. Create one if there's none.
2. Open your world and type: /give @a minecraft:structure_block 1.
3. Right click the structure block. There is a button on the bottom left, switch it to load.
4. Structure name = the name of the nbt file in your directory. Relative position = 0 0 0 preferably. 'Include Entities' ON.
5. Hit 'LOAD' once. 1st time you can see a hit box, you can rotate or mirror the structure, and hit 'done' only, not 'LOAD' again.
6. If you confirm the result, hit 'LOAD' again and it is loaded it into your world.
7. If anything goes wrong, load it twice, or 3 times after some seconds.

You can also find the instruction on wiki: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Structure_Block
Modular Base Collection - Episode 1 on October 31st, 2019 11:17 PM EST
1. Change your game to creative if you are not in one (If in single player, open LAN game, choose creative and cheats on).
2. Open console ('~' key), type /give @s minecraft:command_block 1 and you just have it :))
3. Do anything you want and set everything back later.
Actually you may not have to type the complete command, you can use the 'tab' key to auto-complete between suggestions.
More info on wiki: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Command_Block
And I guess the actual block u want is a structure block~ None of my creations needs a command block to operate or import.
