Elykdez's Mechanical Ghast
Meet my mechanical version of this tentacular nether badass!
Features:
- Is a ghast, in appearance.
- Has a heart, but made of redstone.
- Shoots fireballs.(like a real ghast)
- Screams.(like a real ghast)
- Weeps.(like a real ghast)
- Super compact with all features above within a 6 x 6 x 6 space.
- Not like a real ghast, it can't move, but it can be built anywhere!
- Should a ghast spreads fear and horror, this however, is infused with love to make you happy!
(Is this 'ghast' thing even real? Anyway I just made one, so please enjoy!)
Updates:
- Improved circuit stability.
- Improved opening speed, now a bit faster than the one in the video.
How to import (in vanilla MC, at least 1.13+):
1. Read the instruction about structure block on wiki.
2. Place the nbt file under {MC directory}/saves/{your world}/generated/minecraft/structures/.
3. Open your world and type: /give @a minecraft:structure_block 1.
4. Load it into your world, structure name = file name.
5. If anything goes wrong, load it at the same place twice.
6. It is also importable by WorldEdit, or anything supports .nbt files.
How to use:
1. Click the button on its ass (whatever), and it will perform how it functions, like a puppet.
2. Use a persistent redstone input signal at the same place to keep it open, like a lever or a torch.
Technical: (skip if you just wanna check it out)
- The one in the video uses command blocks inside to detect players, but the one for download has none.
- This creation is much like a toy, but might be useful for map makers - it will suit perfectly for your nether-themed adventure maps. I put chests inside for you to refill by command, and there is even some space inside for you to put some extra command blocks, like you can replace those note blocks with command of a real ghast's scream, or make it activated when a player is near as some traps in parkour maps.
- Yes, It is my circuit design if you shall credit, but it must not be my original concept, OFC; I believe probably 1 million Minecraft players in the last decade thought of this, but very few of them made something alike, even fewer shared on the Internet, especially with that compact size, and so readily available to be played for you.
~ For survival players, you may regard this as a statue. It does have some functional stuff inside so it is absolutely more than just a statue.
