My creations are not based on any house or building I've been in, but I do use Google Maps to browse around towns I've been to/live in for inspiration on the general look of them. This specific one is from a small city in Ontario, Canada. The interiors are based on what feels right at the time and what would generally be "structurally sound" in real life, so it doesn't seem too open.
