Description

Better Village Project

I have begun a new series of builds focused around the beloved villages of the testificates. My plan is to rebuild each type of building over again and make drastic improvements in the aesthetics as well as the functionality of each building. The first installment will include the five most recent rebuilds I have done and when I have completed all of the buildings I will be releasing a functional village build including all of them arranged within the village.

When I say "functional" what I mean is that the game will recognize these as valid village buildings and as such each build I post will be devoid of exterior doors. Once you have placed this build where you would like inside your own functional village then you may add the exterior doors and watch as the population of your village swells a bit in response!

Lastly, you may notice the descriptor of (Basic) has been included above. This is because I plan on building four stages of each building; Basic, Standard, Improved and Grand. Each of these build packs will be interchangeable and all will be functional village buildings at their release. This should provide you with plenty of variety of a similar build style so you can build your own custom villages which are Minecraft valid :)

Travelling Merchant's Wagon

His home! His business! His kingdom on wheels! The traveling merchant carries all of this with him wherever he may roam. The merchant typically dines in the towns they are staying in or they hunt wild game whilst traveling so ways in which to cook are less important than ways in which to store their inventory. Because of these facts, the wagon which I present to you here is every bit a traveler as the merchant who chooses to purchase it! She comes gilded to the hilt in fine satin drapes and rich plush carpet. Only the finest Oaks were used in the construction and the hand crafted redstone lantern will respond immediately to nightfall, driving away the riff-raff common to the wild spaces of minecraftia.

Although she bears the craftsmanship of royalty, do not second guess this workhorse as she is both nimble and strong. It takes little effort for your horse team to drive her through plains or deep muddy bogs. Her wide base offers stability when fording rivers and she can hold her fair share of supplies for the merchant to sell. Overall you wont find a better wagon to suit your needs anywhere.

I thought about doing that but since this build was intended as a part of a larger village or to be tiled into caravans etc, I felt that having them included may limit map makers creativity.
