Description

At night, the gate "closes" automatically; morning it opens. Great for putting into a castle or city wall.

First - credit to MineColonies for the GATE template(I downsized it some). Credit to MaizumaGames and/or RedMinecraftStonetut (I believe) for the compact triple piston extender (anyone know who it is for sure, let me know; I will correct this credit). Credit to me for this application (!)

Default placement of the gate is looking EAST from the inside. If you want it facing other directions, place it and then, in the game, go to the inside of the gate, looking out. There is a "maintenance access" around on the RIGHT. Go down into the "Power Room" and as you walk in, signs will explain how to re-align the two dropper-hopper combinations. Remember to put one redstone in each dropper!

SOMETIMES - the pistons "misfire" and it will lose a block of sand or gravel - it just takes occasional maintenance (like everything else in life!) MAKE SURE to use only blocks that drop with gravity.

I have a diagonal, "corner" gate as well that works on the same principle. Looks a bit like a spider (!), but it works well.

The droppers are placed wrong ( other than you said in the signs ) so i fixed 'em and all went well. I did a little addition to the gate. I added a comparator to the daylight sensor and connected a lever so that I could close it manually. I think you should consider adding that feature. Other than that I love it and thanks for the instructions in the maintenance area.   by Hassoun

A manual override is a great idea! I never thought of that. where did you link in to the circuitry with the comparator and lever? Thanks for the comment! I will look at how the dropper-hopper combination imports from different directions and see what else I can put in for instructions. thanks again!

I just shortened the circuit to the top floor and linked the comparator to a new daylight sensor and a lever from the overriding point. You are most welcomed and while you're at it can you help me? I can't download anything from this sight anymore although i am logged in :/

I will try that! As for the download problem, I'm not sure. maybe they were doing an update or something, because the download features are working now, at least for me! Maybe log out and back in...? Sorry I couldn't be more help.
