Modular Base Collection - Transport
AKA the flying vehicle base. It's simple, but it is good to have a place where you can start to travel, and why take a minecart if you can fly!
Features:
- Contains 2 simple bi-directional slime block flying machines.
- Contains a free bottom area (4 best possible horses in vanilla MC are included for your convenience in survival).
- Has a decorative interior. Maybe not your fancy, but it did give you some free space to expand at least.
- Too simple, I can hardly categorized it in redstone, yet essential for the MBC so I decided to make a post.
Version required: 1.14+
How to import (in vanilla MC):
1. Read the instruction about structure block on wiki.
2. Place the nbt file under {MC directory}/saves/{your world}/generated/minecraft/structures/.
3. Open your world and type: /give @a minecraft:structure_block 1.
4. Always Include Entities. If you load more than once, turn it off on consequent loads.
5. Load it into your world, structure name = file name.
6. If anything breaks, load it twice after 10 seconds.
7. Replace the structure block with sandstone and it is done.
8. It is also importable by WorldEdit, or anything supports .nbt files.
How to use:
1. You can ride those horses, in vanilla survival. I'm sure they act like cars in both MC and real life, though there is neither one in Minecraft, nor any redstone cars (in 1.14) that can act like a horse.
2. To board a flying vehicle, 1st you need to step on the departure platform, find a seat (composter) in a vehicle, aim your crosshair at the center of the bottom of the composter, and move with tiny steps to fit inside (I'm sure you can do this after some practice). Then click the button around, you can jump if you can't reach one, but I made sure every vehicle has at least 1 seat that can do it.
3. There you go, and you can read some books, take some rest and wait for it reaches your destination.
4. Each vehicle contains 3 seats for you and your friends, if you play with any.
5. Actually 2 stations are needed to be built for an obvious reason, as every journey has an end. Just load those bases anywhere in your world, but they must be aligned both vertically and horizontally. I have already made sure you can take at least 1 car from any of the two aligned stations and have a round trip, if you do place them correctly.
Caveats:
- The paintings will break after loaded by structure block. It is literally a bug in MC.
- The flying vehicle may pre-active after you load it with a structure block.
- WorldEdit works fine without any glitches I've mentioned.
~ This base is not as covered as the other MBC designs and quite against the standards. If you don't care about making it 4-directional, it may cost some extra space for some redstone doors inside. My suggestion will be a 3x3 sand gate for it does not take any inner space; of course you don't have to use my creations if you find a better one, that is exactly why I'm not doing it here.
