Sorry man. It was filled with spawn eggs.
Use cheat code give @p spawn_egg 10 0 {EntityTag:{id:Wolf}}
copy exactly as is for 10 wolf eggs....change "wolf" to whatever you want to spawn such as villager
change the 10 to how many you want.
EX: give @p spawn_egg 64 0 {EntityTag:{id:creeper}} will give 64 creeper eggs.
you have to have cheats enabled on your world to work

I've tried it 3 times in 1.11.2.......All that works is the chickens.......eggs out the ass! Nothing else seemed to work

I just added this build to my test world in 1.11 and it was working. NOTE* if the auto smelters/cookers don't work right off the bat. Try removing the blocks directly in front of the chests and they should start working. Then you can put the blocks back
