rplane, this was made with stained clay, so it's a material from 1.6.1 and after. If you didn't update yet, you won't see the blocks.

Renders different than picture when pasted. All of the gray blocks are not there, just air where the gray blocks should be. Also takes 31 blocks high to be level with the ground on flat world. Nice work though and very creative!
