Expandable Day Timer
This is a timer that utilizes a Daylight Sensor, and can be set to issue a pulse to power a redstone circuit. It can be set from 1 day (using on the "L" shaped unit with the sensor on it) or you can expand it out infinite times.
The setup in this schematic file is one that will fire a quick pulse to a redstone circuit on the 8th morning. If ou wish to make it a smaller delay, simply reduce the number of pistons that are in the mechanism. To expand it out to operate after more days, simply add more pistons and repeaters.
This type of mechanism/timer is very useful in auto chicken farms, as well as auto melon/pumpkin farms. In this example, the redstone lamp is the example of the output.
This also has a "reset" signal integrated to it, so that it reset the circuit after the 8 days. If you wish to have it pulse at night rather than day, simply switch the daylight sensor.
When pasting this schematic, it was created at ground level, and facing west (towards -x)
