Standard Iron Farm pod design. This is the publicly accepted pod design that has been around since the early years of Minecraft. It should work on all builds.
This is a modular design so you can have as many 'pods' as you want. There are many variants of this design but this one is the most basic and easiest to build.
I take no credit for the design of this creation. There are multiple YouTube videos with people claiming credit but this design dates back well before their claims.
Design notes:
- Be sure to put 2 villagers in each pod. They will breed to end up with 4 in each pod.
- Put 4 sand in corners to get the elevated water. Youtube video (search minecraft iron farm) explains this. Be sure to break the sand once you get the water placed.
- Iron Golems drop out of center 2x2 opening. Design your own kill/burn box that you want.
- Build this elevated and away from any existing villages. 65+ blocks away in all directions to be safe.
