With The Temple of Notch you install a new level for Minecraft. The free game expansion is loaded like a saved game. In a kind of jungle, the player makes a sacrifice to Minecraft inventor Markus Persson.

The Temple of Notch brings a green jungle to the Minecraft world. To enter the temple, you must first throw a piece of gold into a well. You walk through a portal in the rock onto a narrow wooden footbridge. On the side of a rugged cliff sits a gigantic idol of Minecraft creator Notch. After a blink of the stone guru's eye, the player in The Temple of Notch is either generously rewarded or severely punished.
