Hey guys!!
This is how I like to keep and organize the crafting & storage area in our world. I'm on a survival server, and playing version 1.12.2
This is pretty ideal for survival mode, as the building is well lit and "cheap" to make (no quartz or other fancy items :P)
The decorations outside are of course optional and the roof can be removed and extended so that higher levels with additional storage can be added. ;)

- Tip: Hold the stealth key (shift by default) while placing items to place them on chests, like signs or chests or chests on top of other chests etc.
Feel free to use it in your worlds and servers, and customize/change it however you like.
Thought I would share this with you since I really like it, and I think that some of you might appreciate a thorough storage & basic crafting system already planned and laid out. :D
