Edificio Colón is a real life structure situated in Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain. In the real world it is a 110m tall highrise of the "Brutalist" architectural style and completed in 1970.
This Minecraft version has been constructed to be as true in external appearance to the the actual structure as possible although a fair amount of "artistic license" has been used on the interior (since I have never been inside the real structure).
It has a 64x80 block footprint and is 128 blocks tall, (penetrating one block depth into the ground), thus each block represents 859cm in the real world, close to the 1m intended dimensions of Minecraft blocks.
| I'm pretty sure this is not a hotel in the real world, it is an office block, probably housing the offices of a bank, insurance company or other similar financial sector entity. |
