Can I just ask, is it only from personal experience that you know this or is written somewhere--for example by the creator of MCEdit, which is the program that I used to save the schematic--that I could look into? Because I went just now and tested it myself by copying the schematic to another computer and the commands, books and items are all still there. Maybe it's some setting which I had enabled? I've never had an issue with losing contents of chests or command blocks when using schematics in the past...
