Description

Better Village Project

I have begun a new series of builds focused around the beloved villages of the testificates. My plan is to rebuild each type of building over again and make drastic improvements in the aesthetics as well as the functionality of each building. The first installment will include the five most recent rebuilds I have done and when I have completed all of the buildings I will be releasing a functional village build including all of them arranged within the village.

When I say "functional" what I mean is that the game will recognize these as valid village buildings and as such each build I post will be devoid of exterior doors. Once you have placed this build where you would like inside your own functional village then you may add the exterior doors and watch as the population of your village swells a bit in response!

Lastly, you may notice the descriptor of (Basic) has been included above. This is because I plan on building four stages of each building; Basic, Standard, Improved and Grand. Each of these build packs will be interchangeable and all will be functional village buildings at their release. This should provide you with plenty of variety of a similar build style so you can build your own custom villages which are Minecraft valid :)

Village Gate

This gate is a very simple design and does not even offer a gatehouse but the portcullis that this gate houses will only open at sunrise and it closes as soon as the sun sets to protect the village's inhabitants. The wooden portcullis offers some basic protection and the wide avenue allows many people access during the day.

Please feel free to use this however you wish. Simply place a sign somewhere on the build acknowledging me as the builder. If you do use this build, please rate it and if you download it please let me know in the comments how you feel about the build or if you have any issues with it whatsoever. If there is an issue with this or any of my builds I will immediately attempt to rectify it and reupload it as soon as I possibly can.

Thank you for taking time to look, have a wonderful day both in and out of the minecraftian realms!

@lanaru1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTFfWyGQa2E maybe that could be a way to fix it.

I am not well experienced in redstone stuff so i have not been able to make a fix myself.

After hours of experimenting i may have found a possible solution to fix the gate with 1.9 and maybe above.

That picture shows how i try to delay the pulse.

Here you can see how i get delayed pulse back to sticky pistons.

I have made this with minecraft 1.9.4 .

I agree with Lanaru1. Since Minecraft 1.9 was released the gates break. Even after reloading the world into v. 1.8 it still wouldn't work. I had to import a fresh copy of the schematic into the world to get it to work again. I really like this gate and would love to see you fix it to work in 1.9.   by Grampsguy

I love the design of the gate and walls as I've been designing the walls of my own city on a server to replicate the style used here...however when the server updated to 1.9...the gate broke and I don't know how to fix it...
I need help.
