Description

This is my most recent build, and was finished about 2 days ago. I've tested it for any inconveniences and made sure that the base is at least 90% mob-proof. (Unless endermen can spawn underground you should face no trouble whatsoever)

The entire inside of the build schematic is filled with SPONGE, and is intended to be replaced with AIR in the MCEdit Program.

< ADVANTAGES >

This underground stone complex provides excellent space and rooming as well as some versatility for those who like to add more to their homes. This home is not as furnished as the first schematic I posted, but provides a storage center and a surface-to-subterranian shaft that can go at least 45 blocks deep!

The build is carefully well-lit and should keep mobs from spawning within. Any problem with lighting should be easily remedied with simple placement of torches or redstone lamps. Also, since the build is completely made of stone, it is pretty much fireproof.

While it may not be the most luxurious of my builds, it should provide plenty of space for mod features. It also features plenty of space for bedrooms, a small nook for enchanting placements, an underground gardening center, a storage room with plenty of chests to use, and even a fireplace! There is no limit to how you can customize this base.

< DISADVANTAGES >

First off, the large amount of space also gives it a larger size which can make it innefficient for placements. When placing this build in your minecraft world, it is recommended that you watch out for dungeons, strongholds, mineshafts and other underground structures you don't want destroyed.

Also, watch for caves; wouldn't want to have skeletons and zombies as your annoying neighbors, would you?

Also, the underground shaft needs work. It's just a tight (but well-lit) stairway that can take almost a minute to descend or ascend. I tried to replace it with a faster redstone elevator, but I cannot for the life of me get the structure set just right. Also, if the shaft is too tall and you don't want some big tower revealing your base, you'll have to crop it out in MCEdit and place your own custom homestead on top. While it may seem inconvenient, I made it this way so builders may be able to adjust how deep they want to place this build, and to customize the top of the base to their liking.

< OVERALL >

My Subterranian Base is designed to provide space, comfort, and plenty of room for expansion and customization. It will keep you as safe as bunny inside a bank vault, while providing plenty of space for roommates and friends on multiplayer servers.

I hope you find this build both comfortable and useful, and of course, have fun!
